PARKING WATCH

We all think we are hard done by when we get a ticket, especially if you have complied by the
law but due to unforeseen circumstances we end up with a £40 fine.
Parking is important to the town as the shops rely on local trade, with so many places in the
area for shopping.
The car park at the back of Spires is fair but the council must be wanting that money they
spent in unsuccessfully suing Barnet Football club as the parking fees around the streets seem
to have shot up. £1.50 per hour in the car park next to the library and if you put in £2 you loose
your 50p. If you want to park for one and a half hours it will cost you £2.50.

Where do all the 50ps we lose go? Can the council keeps tabs on the extra 50ps and how much a
year do they take in change that should be ours? With that happening all over the borough the extra
money must show up somewhere.
And now its £1 an hour to park outside Barnet Museum.
Had a ticket that you think is unjust or can't park outside your own house or got a gripe about the
rising cost of parking?
Say it here and get it off your chest. Have a moan or a grown or bring to other peoples notice your tale of woe.
