The Spires is on the site of the old Methodist church which was built in 1987. Just over one hundred years later it had turned into over 90,000 sq feet of retail space divided into 37 units, which includes a supermarket and restaurants.

The centre has been awarded the highly converted London in Bloom “Clearly Trophy” as London’s most attractive shopping centre no less than four times and has been a regular winner of the “Barnet in Bloom” competition.
