   OLD BARNET PHOTOS
HADLEY

Take a trip around the area with these picture from the past and present.
If any of you have photos to add to the site please call me and perhaps we can
build a concise picture of Barnet's past.

You can get many books with pictures of old Barnet (especially from the Barnet Museum)
but we have put this page together to build up an archive of old photos which can be viewed
from the comfort of your home. So settle back and take a journey into the past of our town of Barnet.

Hadley is where The Battle of Barnet took place so why wasn't it called "The Battle of Hadley"?
Historically Hadley has many stories to tell and one of the oldest buildings
for miles around is HADLEY CHURCH

After a visit to the church you might like to take a walk in the woods, which stretch for miles

And what was The Bridle Bridge?

And you could always get a boat out on Jacks Lake

There where two trees near the church. What is their history?
This might help

The is the Old Elm

And The Old Oak tree

And then there is Hadley common, the site of The Battle of Barnet

And the stocks (no longer there)

And The famous Highstone
