IT'S GOING TO BE ROCKIN' AT THE BELL AND BUCK
Music venues around the town of Barnet are hard to find. The Green Man and The Wishing Well have closed
down and some miserable person that lives near The Cat and Lantern has deprived Barnet music lovers of yet
another venue and a chance for local bands.
One place that wants to something for local music is The BELL AND BUCK in Victoria Road.
In conjunction with BARNET 4 MUSIC the BELL AND BUCK will be holding a competition to find the top band in Barnet.

The Battle of Barnet happened here and now the bands of Barnet will be able to battle it at this popular
music venue and win a day in a recording studio.
PLUS the chance to win the trophy that makes you the "Best Band in Barnet".

Any one can enter as long as at least one member of the band comes from the town of Barnet or close surrounding areas.
You will get 40 minutes to show case your act and in the preliminary rounds you will be judged by the audience.
There will also be a separate trophy for best "Newcomers". 4 bands will play at the selected weekday nights and entrance for the competition is Free. If you want to go for the title or just get
experience send a CD or tape of your act with a bio/history to

You can hear live music at the BELL AND BUCK every week end and we will be publishing the dates soon.
The BELL AND BUCK is run by Dave and his wife Michele who not only want to make this venue popular for music but also somewhere
the locals can relax or play in. There are poker and darts nights as well as a large screen for all the sporting events.
Dave also organises a golf society and the bar is available for private functions.
